DON BABOU & SISSILI SOUL SYSTEM Born in Africa, surrounded by traditional music, I discovered modern music in my home quarter Dapoya, where me and my friends seldom missed out a rehearsal from modern orchestras such as Supervolta and Harmonie Voltaïque. After we struggled who would play the only guitare we had in our groupe of five. Music in my veins, I started playing music as a living in my early 20s. At first in Africa, later in France. In 2015, release of my first solo album, mainly in African languages in a style which can be best described as African Roots and High Life. We surprised the technicians in the recording studio with our traditional instruments, but they were very soon convinced by the music with soul. The mastering studio sent us our tape back with the words : "Amazing feel good music, you can't help to fall in love with" Back on stage since then. Enjoying the music, living my passion and hoping to share a good moment with you.
